An Art Exhibition of Courage, Healing and Hope

Every piece of art tells a story. Every story deserves to be heard.

Art has the power to express what words sometimes cannot.

Over the past three months, a group of courageous survivors of sexual harm have embarked on a deeply personal and creative journey, using art to explore their experiences, express their emotions and share their stories in their own unique way.

With the guidance and support the Southland Help team, each survivor has created a beautiful and meaningful piece of art that reflects their individuality, strength, resilience and journey towards healing.

Survivor Stories is more than an art exhibition. It is a celebration of courage, creativity and the power of finding your voice. Each artwork offers a unique glimpse into the experiences of survivors, reminding us that while every journey is different, every story matters.

Developed to acknowledge National Reflection Day, this special exhibition invites our community to come together, honour the voices and experiences of survivors, and reflect on the importance of compassion, understanding and healing.

We warmly invite you to experience Survivor Stories.

Come along, be moved, be inspired and stand alongside survivors as we celebrate their creativity, courage and resilience. By attending, you are helping to create a community where survivors feel seen, heard, valued and supported.

Because healing takes many forms, and sometimes the most powerful stories are those told without words.

Proudly presented by Southland Help, with the generous funding support of Community Funding.
